By purchasing, downloading, or using NovelEngine ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. NovelEngine is developed and distributed as a standalone desktop application.
Upon purchase of a license key via our authorized payment merchant (Lemon Squeezy), you are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual, non-transferable license to install and use NovelEngine on personal desktop devices owned or controlled by you.
You retain 100% full ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights over all novels, manuscripts, character notes, outlines, and prompts created or processed within NovelEngine. NovelEngine does not transmit, host, train on, or claim any ownership over your manuscripts.
Payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles order fulfillment, sales tax/VAT calculations, and payment compliance.
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While NovelEngine provides automatic revision checkpoints and local persistence, users are encouraged to maintain independent backups of their manuscript files.
